Job Summary
The Manager, IT Release Management manages the documentation, approval, and timing of technical releases into quality assurance and production environments and determines, implements, and communicates process improvements for technical change and release management processes.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
Manage the movement of IT releases through build, test, and production environments.
Ensure proper structures are in place for scalability.
Interface and communicate with test, development, operations, architecture, infrastructure, and project management teams.
Delegate tasks to associates while monitoring and requesting resources to support the completion of release.
Management activities: Monitor activities and provide group and individual performance feedback; Oversee the cross-functional coordination of release events and develop release strategies across IT departments; Create and establish processes in partnership with audit and other technology business controls; Create and manage the enterprise-wide release calendar; and (v) Provide release risk and mitigation strategies.
Communicate with stakeholder teams to ensure release data and changes are correctly interpreted and documented.
Work with team members to ensure documentation meets audit standards.
Provide real-time updates regarding release scheduling conflicts.
Update extended stakeholders on statuses and metrics.
Gather, maintain, and communicate feedback to internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Participate in formal and informal release management training.

Work Environment
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
Plus 2 years of work experience in offered or similar position with SAP technical change and release management using SAP release tools (CHARM or ActiveControl) within a software development lifecycle.
Stated experience must also include experience with projects requiring the integration of cross-functional technology and business solutions.
