Position Purpose:

The Manager - Benefits and Health Management will be responsible for developing policies and processes that support the company’s efforts to create a healthy and productive workforce by:
Providing guidance to business partners for addressing associate work-related injuries and illnesses, leave of absence, return to work, medical accommodations, or other medical and personal concerns that may cause an associate to have time away from work.
Limiting risk and legal exposure by ensuring state and federal law compliance.
Offering education and training to help build the competencies of our management team.
Providing specialized programs and services to enhance the effectiveness and productivity of our associates.
This role does not have direct responsibility for supervising Home Depot associates on a permanent basis but requires oversight of vendor partners. Key Responsibilities:
50% - Management and Compliance - Ensure all policies and procedures are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations. Thorough review of Standard Operating Procedures, programs and plans to ensure consistency and appropriate access or coverage.
50% - Vendor Management & Stakeholder Support - Effectively partner with and manage vendors. Provide guidance and direction to business partners and associates regarding policy and intersecting programs and policies. Work collaboratively with Safety, Human Resources, Associate Relations, Legal, and other business partners, developing and administering processes and policies.

Travel Requirements:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older

Previous claims management or litigation experience. Should have experience in Human Resources and a working knowledge of laws regarding work related injuries, leave of absence, and medical accommodations.
Minimum Education:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
