Position Purpose: The Compliance Program Effectiveness (CPE) team serves as a strategic and innovative partner to The Home Depot's internal teams working in high risk compliance areas. The CPE Manager is responsible for driving execution of project-based compliance risk assessment, analytics, monitoring and consulting. The CPE Manager will oversee the implementation of data analytics to track compliance, identify risks and document recommendations. The CPE Manager will collaborate with team members and stakeholders across the organization to complete compliance assessments. The individual must possess strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills while developing a thorough understanding of the relevant compliance regulations to manage risks. Responsibilities also include managing direct reports and supporting the Sr. Manager with the development of the company’s Compliance Effectiveness assessment program. Key Responsibilities:
25% - People Management & Collaboration - Provides leadership, mentorship and coaching to direct reports including performance reviews and regular feedback. Leverages regulations and partners with leadership and legal to help develop recommendations and consult the business. Collaborates with team and business partners to understand compliance program risks, challenges and opportunities. Assists with recruiting, hiring and onboarding to develop a supportive and engaged team. Develops and fosters a trusted advisor relationship with internal business partners on cross-functional teams. Leads regular team calls and meets 1:1 with direct reports to maintain status updates and team alignment.
75% - Project Management & Continuous Process Improvement - Develops and executes high level project plans and timelines. Develops and documents recommendations for business areas to drive best-in-class monitoring and management of compliance risks. Determines assigned workstreams and provides guidance to drive project progress. Validates analyses and findings; ensures assessments adequately capture function of compliance areas. Maintains organized tracking and communication of project scope, status and findings with leaders and direct reports. Participates in the continuous improvement of compliance assessments, analytics and consulting processes to build best-in-class Compliance Effectiveness program. Drives execution of innovative techniques, both proactive and reactive, to prioritize, assess and manage compliance risks for the company. Reviews and shares relevant regulatory, compliance and ethics business news and effectively relates to Compliance Effectiveness assessments and purpose. Oversees compliance risk assessments and implementation of data analytics for ongoing monitoring of high risk compliance areas. Provides updates and recommendations to leaders on project status, program effectiveness, team accomplishments, summary of findings. Fosters continuous improvement and innovation, challenging and empowering the team through guidance and tools to build insightful compliance assessments and analytics for processes in all areas of the company.

This role has 4 direct reports.
Travel Requirements:
Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Demonstrated ability to communicate with a variety of partners across multi levels and various functional areas of the enterprise to drive to an improved state of compliance and ethics, with a focus on customer service and stakeholder partnerships
Excellent leadership skills with a proven record of executing multiple projects and balancing stakeholders, while driving associate development and engagement
Team leader with a can-do attitude, the ability to think and implement quickly, and identify creative solutions to complex problems to mitigate risk for the company
Prior people or project team management experience including providing performance feedback
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical, problem solving, process improvement and research skills
Minimum Education:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
