As the Social Engagement Specialist, you will humanize the Best Buy brand by building brand love and fostering community across all social channels. You’ll have a genuine interest in technology and consumer electronics. This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days on site at a Best Buy location and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process. What you’ll do
Moderate and engage with incoming customer comments on all social platforms, acting as Best Buy
Utilize social listening tools to monitor key moments that contribute to brand health and triaging customer challenges to colleagues
Assist with pulling data and providing context and examples related to organic social initiatives
Craft captions for social content and/or Threads, infusing Best Buy’s brand personality into social engagement
Basic qualifications
1 year experience in a social media role
1 year experience using a social monitoring tool for triage, responses, and reporting
Preferred qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
1 year experience in retail
Proven success in collaborating with cross-functional partners (e.g., PR, Legal, Customer Care)
Strong written communication skills
Strong understanding of all social media platforms (trends, purposes, content, pop culture)
