As a Lead Designer in the customer and retail Starbucks UX team, you will bridge the gap between marketing initiatives and user experience on a team. You’ll be at the forefront of shaping marketer tools and customer experiences that are both compelling and easy to use. These tools are crucial for marketers to bring high value experiences to our customers. Your focus will include customer-facing content and UX in digital menu boards.
By closely working with the Starbucks Technology and Marketing teams, you'll be pivotal in molding the way we present and promote our brand across varied platforms, ensuring that our marketing strategies are seamlessly executed.

Key Responsibilities
Spearhead the design and refinement of marketer-focused tools, responsible for end to end product experiences and features across multiple platforms.
Be a representative of UX best practices and value across the company — in collaboration with UX leadership.
Collaborate with UX research to ensure we are solving the right opportunities and right problems.
Champion user-centered design culture by understanding your diverse user base (Starbucks marketing professionals, baristas, and customers).
Mentor and guide junior UX designers while influencing their development with the UX leadership team.
Collaborate with stakeholders, product management, and engineering to gather and prioritize menu tool requirements, ensuring alignment with Starbucks' design and UX strategy.
Partner with cross-functional teams for a streamlined development and release process.
Contribute to the long-term product roadmap, integrating new menu-centric features and enhancements.
Regularly review and refine designs based on team feedback and stakeholder input.
Develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, and comprehensive design documentation.
Conduct usability testing and user research, incorporating insights to optimize designs.
Ensure menu tool designs promote inclusivity and align with user needs.
Provide training, sharing best practices, and insights on menu tools with the team.
Skills And Qualities
Extensive design expertise, with a strong portfolio that showcases your ability to tackle complex internal tool challenges.
Exceptional communication skills, with the capacity to inspire and influence at all organizational tiers.
Astute understanding of Starbucks' mission and broader goals, adeptly connecting team contributions to the larger picture.
Ability to transition effortlessly between detailed design work and overarching strategic perspectives.
Embodies Starbucks' core values, setting a positive example while driving impactful business results.
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of product design experience.
Experience in mentoring and guiding design teams.
Experience working cross-team and synthesize feedback and input from product management, engineering, testing, and marketing.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in designing internal marketing specific tools
Large format digital display design experience
Experience with agile/persistent teams
