Job Summary
This manager position contributes to Starbucks success by leading the Corporate Technology’s BI & Reporting team in building and delivering data products and solutions for our Global Supply Chain and Finance organization. The right candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical product management background, sharp focus on customer success and a demonstrated knowledge of delivering Business Intelligence, Operational Reporting and Data Visualization solutions.
The successful candidate is someone who enjoys bringing definition to complex technology initiatives, is skilled at navigating ambiguous new frontiers and is an expert at leading teams to perform at their fullest potential.
Summary Of Key Responsibilities
Lead a team of analysts, technical product managers and engineers in delivering high-quality, reliable, and scalable reporting solutions for Supply Chain and Finance operations
Drive the concept of data as a product by applying product thinking into datasets
Develop robust and structured roadmap for delivering transformational capabilities that elevate business intelligence and operational reporting
Lead multiple large scale, high impact projects that are transformational for users
Establish and nurture strong stakeholder relationship built on trust, delivery and support
Demonstrate an obsession towards providing resilient, innovative, high fidelity data solutions with high fidelity and phenomenal user experience
Establish SLAs, metrics, objectives and success criteria for the team and guide the team in achieving
Ability to establish cross-functional, collaborative relationships with business and technology partners
Communicates complex ideas and concepts to non-technical peers and customers
Required Qualifications
8+ years of professional industry experience in various aspects of software application development such as analysis, design, development and support
6+ years of leading technical product teams in developing and delivering data and reporting solutions at enterprise scale
6+ years of experience in managing medium to large scale projects with cross-functional team leadership.
5+ years of supporting core business functions in a technical capacity such as Order Management, Sourcing, Finance, Transportation etc.
5+ years of experience in building data warehouse and reporting solutions that source data from ERP applications such as Oracle EBS
4+ years of experience developing code on BI platforms and data warehouses (such as OBIEE, OAC) and visualization tools such as Incorta, Tableau, Power BI
4+ years of experience delivering solutions on distributed data platforms such as Snowflake, Spark, Databricks
Knowledge of data mining, data cleansing techniques, data modelling, and data architecture
Strong problem solving skills with ability to influence leadership teams at different levels
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge and understanding of modern cloud based data platforms and solutions such as Incorta and Databricks
Functional design, analysis or development experience in Oracle EBS
Develop analytic systems & predictive models, experiment with new data science techniques, visualize results, and craft effective communications to share discoveries.
Establish key performance indicators and promote data-driven decision-making that allows for effective planning in stakeholder teams.
Demonstrated experience with data analysis, BI, visualization & story-telling to executive audiences.
Deep working knowledge of data systems design & data technologies
Experience with Cloud Computing (e.g. Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS) and Cloud Data Platforms (e.g. Databricks)
